NYC Exhibition 2024: A Celebration of Global Graphic Art and Illustration

This year, New York played host to one of the most exciting international art events—NYC Exhibition 2024. Bringing together over 100 artists, graphic designers, and illustrators from around the world, the exhibition highlighted the power of visual storytelling and showcased a dynamic range of graphic art and illustration.

Under the theme “All is Graphics,” the exhibition explored the profound influence of graphic design and illustration on modern life. It emphasized how these visual forms permeate culture, communication, and society, making them indispensable tools for both personal expression and global discourse. From cutting-edge digital works to traditional hand-drawn illustrations, attendees were treated to a stunning array of visual creativity.

Featured Artists:

Rhea Rojas (France), Ellie-May Rose (France), Jamie Harmon (Canada), Shahen Markarian (Ukraine), Cayden Abbott (USA), Imogen Vazquez (Peru), Dylan Anderson (United Kingdom), Asia Mcintyre (USA), Charlotte Parks (Italy), Gerard Blevins(USA), Leon Sullivan (Germany), Nathanael O’Doherty (Spain), Laura Griffith (Mexico), Syeda Duffy (USA), Mariyah O’Quinn (Cuba), Talha Payne (Norway), Dominic Burns (USA), Darragh Carroll (United Kingdom), Liyana Morrow (USA), Janice Delacruz (USA), Teddy Randall (Canada) and other artists.

The Vision Behind ‘All is Graphics’

Curated by a group of renowned international designers, “All is Graphics” sought to showcase the ubiquity of graphic art in everyday life. The theme explored how these art forms shape the way we perceive the world, whether through media, advertising, or personal storytelling. The exhibition pushed the boundaries of traditional graphic design and illustration, challenging viewers to see them as central to the cultural fabric of the modern world.

The goal was to create a space where graphic art could be appreciated not just for its aesthetic appeal, but for its ability to convey complex ideas and emotions across borders. The exhibition asked: What happens when graphic design and illustration become the universal language of the 21st century?

Exhibition Highlights

NY Exhibition 2024 was filled with standout pieces from artists across the globe. Here are some highlights:

  1. Narrative-Driven Illustrations – The event featured an array of narrative illustrations, with each piece telling a vivid story. Artists used bold colors, intricate line work, and surrealist elements to immerse viewers in worlds filled with emotional depth and imaginative wonder. Themes ranged from identity and belonging to social justice and environmental awareness.

  2. Graphic Posters for Social Change – A section of the exhibition was dedicated to posters that tackled pressing global issues. Graphic designers presented visually striking works focused on themes such as climate change, gender equality, and political resistance. These posters used minimalism, bold typography, and clever symbolism to drive home their messages, reminding visitors of the power of design in shaping public consciousness.

  3. Hybrid Artworks – A fusion of traditional and digital techniques was a recurring motif throughout the exhibition. Artists blended hand-drawn illustrations with digital tools, creating works that seamlessly combined old and new techniques. These hybrid pieces reflected a timeless quality, with a modern twist, proving that illustration can continuously evolve while honoring its roots.

  4. Experimental Typography – Typography as art was a highlight of the show, with artists reimagining letters as dynamic, expressive forms. From abstract arrangements of letterforms to intricate calligraphic compositions, this section underscored how type can transcend communication and become a pure visual experience. Some installations even transformed letters into physical sculptures, making text three-dimensional and tactile.

  5. Cultural Diversity in Design – The exhibition celebrated the global nature of graphic art by showcasing artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. Many works incorporated traditional motifs from various regions, blending them with contemporary design aesthetics. This fusion of styles demonstrated how graphic art serves as a bridge between cultures, connecting global audiences through a shared visual language.
